A street in Seminyak

How these were measured

Each figure is a walking route from the villa’s gate along OpenStreetMap’s streets and lanes, calculated on 13 October 2026 with the Valhalla router at an ordinary walking pace. It is the distance you actually walk, not a straight line on the map. Crossings and pace move it by a minute or two either way.

Restaurants and cafés

Jalan Kayu Aya itself, where the lane comes out: 510 m, seven minutes on foot.

La Favela, on Jalan Kayu Aya: 690 m, nine minutes.

Revolver Espresso, in a lane off Jalan Kayu Aya: 790 m, ten minutes.

KU DE TA, at the sea end of Jalan Kayu Aya: 1.3 km, sixteen minutes.

The Eat Street strip of Jalan Kayu Aya is the reason the villa works without a car for dinner: most evenings are a walk there and a walk back.

Shops

Seminyak Village, on Jalan Kayu Jati: 900 m, eleven minutes.

Seminyak Square: 950 m, twelve minutes.

Bintang Supermarket on Jalan Raya Seminyak: 1.9 km, twenty-three minutes.

Eat Street to the beach

Jalan Kayu Aya runs down toward the sea, so the walk to the sand depends on where you start. From KU DE TA at the beach end to Seminyak Beach is 450 m, five minutes on foot; from Revolver Espresso 1.1 km, thirteen minutes; from La Favela at the inland end 1.6 km, nineteen minutes.

The beach

Seminyak Beach: 1.4 km, sixteen minutes on foot.

Double Six Beach: 2.1 km, twenty-six minutes. It is closer on the map, but the lanes south do not go through, so the walk goes round by Jalan Raya Seminyak.

Most guests walk down in the late afternoon and take a ride back, or the other way round.

A short ride

Motel Mexicola, on Jalan Kayu Jati: 1.3 km, sixteen minutes on foot.

Potato Head Beach Club, on Jalan Petitenget: 2.2 km, twenty-seven minutes on foot, a short ride by car or scooter.

For the airport, allow thirty to forty-five minutes by car; see from the airport to the villa.

What this means for a stay

A lane this close to the restaurants is quiet because the street is not the lane. You walk out to Eat Street, and you come back to a garden. Every place here is also on the map on the area page, with a link to open it in Google Maps. See also a week in Seminyak, or, short on time, Seminyak in three days.

This guide keeps to what we can vouch for: this house, this lane, and things that are simply true of Bali. Where it would need a fact we have not checked — a restaurant’s current form, a price we do not set, a rule that changes — we have left it out rather than guessed, and said who to ask instead.
