Choosing a Bali villa for a big group

For eight people, one villa with four bedrooms is the simplest answer. For sixteen or twenty-four, the best answer is usually two or three houses that connect, so the group is together in the evening and apart at night. What to check is how they connect, who else lets them, and whether the table is long enough.

One house or several

Eight guests in four bedrooms fit one villa comfortably, as couples or friends. Above that, a single huge house is rare in Seminyak; more often a group takes adjoining villas joined by doors in the garden walls. That keeps everyone on one address, with a pool each and a shared evening.

How the combined stay works

Neighbouring villas are normally let separately, so a combined stay depends on all of them being free for your dates. Ask for the combination before you plan anything around it. At Villa Aniri, sixteen means the villa plus one adjoining villa, and twenty-four means both, when they are free; see groups of 8, 16 or 24.

A table long enough

Large groups eat together once a day if they are lucky. Look at the dining table, not the photograph of it: does the whole group fit at one sitting? Is it shaded? Is it beside the kitchen? A private chef is useful at this scale, since cooking for sixteen is a day’s work.

Splitting the cost

On group trips the most common friction is mismatched budgets. The quoted rate is for the villa, not per person, so agree the split — by head, or by bedroom if the rooms differ — before the deposit is paid, and let one person hold the booking.

Neighbours and noise

The more people, the more the house’s rules matter. A residential lane has a limit on music; at Villa Aniri it ends at 10 pm. For a party of many dozens, a beach club is the better venue, and a villa is the better place to come back to afterwards.

Getting around

Sixteen people do not fit one taxi. Plan transfers and restaurant bookings in advance; Seminyak’s restaurants are walkable from the villa, which spares you the cars for dinner.

Questions people ask

Straight answers

How many people fit in one Seminyak villa?

Usually eight to twelve. Larger groups tend to take two or three villas that connect.

Can adjoining villas be booked together?

Often, if they are all free for your dates. They are usually let separately, so ask for the combination.

How should a group split the cost?

Agree it before the deposit. The quoted rate is for the villa, so divide by head, or by bedroom if the rooms differ.

Is a villa good for a party?

For a gathering, yes; for a loud party or large crowd, no. Music has a curfew in residential lanes, and a beach club is a better venue for a crowd.

Does Villa Aniri take groups of sixteen or twenty-four?

When the adjoining villas are free for your dates: sixteen with one, twenty-four with both.

This guide keeps to what we can vouch for: this house, this lane, and things that are simply true of Bali. Where it would need a fact we have not checked — a restaurant’s current form, a price we do not set, a rule that changes — we have left it out rather than guessed, and said who to ask instead. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
